10 Things Solopreneurs Should Say Yes to Starting Today

  • Comments Off on 10 Things Solopreneurs Should Say Yes to Starting Today

Admit it: As a solopreneur, you say yes to almost everything. And it is because of being a yes-man that you’re often stressed and overwhelmed. Life can be so much better if you only say yes to the things that benefit and improve your solopreneur business. Read and learn from today’s article.

10 Things Solopreneurs Should Say Yes to Starting Today

1. Outside help

The main benefit of outsourcing certain tasks is that it frees up time for you to focus on other areas of your business. Most of the tasks you outsource are repetitive in nature and can be done by someone who’s better and faster.

2. Listening to your body

Your body has its way of telling you if you’re giving it the care it needs. Feeling exhausted after more than eight hours of work? Don’t ignore it. Take a rest. Are you always tired? Perhaps you lack quality sleep or need an exercise regimen.

3. Me time!!!

Surrounding yourself with people all the time can take a toll on your well-being. Taking time for yourself once a day allows you to reset your mind. Take a nap. Indulge in a hobby. Treat yourself out to lunch. Write in your journal.

4. Celebrating small victories

Small wins have the power to motivate you to keep moving forward. When you accomplish something, whether that’s publishing your first YouTube video or hiring a new virtual assistant, record that accomplishment.

5. An uncluttered inbox

Spring cleaning your email inbox is probably your least priority. Here’s why a clear inbox matters: It minimizes that time you spend checking your inbox and reading stuff that’s unimportant. One thing you should start doing is to unsubscribe from unwanted promotional emails.

6. Starting your day on a positive note

How you start your morning can set the tone for the rest of the day. Wake up earlier and take your time in doing things that relax you. That could be drinking coffee or tea, journaling, or a 10-minute cardio workout.

7. Tools that simplify your life

Do you still do everything manually? With so many things to do (yet too little time), you need to work smarter. One tool that you can use for managing your projects is Trello. Another is Buffer for scheduling your social media posts in advance.

8. Co-working space

Many independent professionals and freelancers thrive in a co-working space because it makes them feel part of a community. And besides, spending some time away from your home can spark new, brilliant ideas for your solopreneur business.

9. Processes that bring results

Not everything you do in business benefits your business. Some tools or processes may appear fancy or complicated, but they don’t really help. Spend a day to review your business performance. Review your core activities and strategies.

10. Patience

It’s easy to feel frustrated when you don’t get the results you expect right away. Even if you’ve given your all to something, learn to sit back and wait with a good attitude. Patience helps you to be in control and remain focused.
