Empower Your Day With These 6 Solopreneur Mantras

  • Comments Off on Empower Your Day With These 6 Solopreneur Mantras

It’s the last day of the week and we’re all headed to our peaceful weekends! Well, for some of you out there, that might not be the case for meetings may have been scheduled. Nothing to worry, here are some mantras that will help you make the next week better.

1. “I will mindfully monotask”

There is no such thing as multitasking. What’s really happening when you attempt to do so is to let your focus jump from one task to another rapidly. In the scramble of you attempting to “multitask”, you burn out and forget what you were doing before.

With this mantra, you’ll be reminding yourself to do one thing at a time. Read emails now then work on marketing strategies later. Not only is your work done effectively, but your mind also avoids being overloaded.

2. “I’ll let it be”

Not every strategy works and not every inquiring person is a guaranteed customer. There will be times when you’ll explain for an hour about how your products work and what your services are to a potential client.

Then, the client will just tell you that they don’t feel like it’s worth it and throw all your efforts down the drain. So what’ll you do? Are you going to get mad or are you going to blame yourself that your words weren’t enough? The answer is neither, for you’ll just let it be and move on.

3. “Me first, then work”

Work, business, household chores, bills, and so on. Carrying many responsibilities makes you forget about yourself, who you are, and what you want as a person. Allowing these to keep on going will make your life a miserable one.

If you feel you need to take a break, do it. Listen to what your mind, body, and soul needs. After all, you alone run the business and you owe nobody for it. Leave that phone ringing as long as it can. Answer it when you’re ready.

4. “Achieve small goals daily”

Rushing to do things will only spell the same level of disaster as multi-tasking does. When you rush your tasks, you’ll only find yourself unprepared and your product half-cooked. What’s worse, you have nothing but yourself to blame for it.

If you take time for self-care, take time to achieve your goals as well. Take time to prepare for a task. Relax and ready yourself when facing a client. Dress-up properly before going to work. Implement your marketing strategy one by one to achieve that desired profit margin.

5. “Working while exhausted reduces effectiveness”

It’s true. How are you supposed to think of a new product when your mind is looking for a bed? Remember, the greatest investment of businessmen is their health. An exhausted solopreneur makes nothing but flaky decisions and poor products.

When you’re tired at the office, call it a day. Or take a breather when you feel trapped in your working space. This mantra will also remind you to get proper rest every night. Because the main cause of exhaustion is a lack of sleep.

6. “More is not indicative of better”

Wanting more of your business is good because it teaches you to strive for commercial growth. But always wanting more? That’s when you start racing on a never-ending track. The more you yearn for money, the more tasks and responsibilities you’ll give yourself.

Just because you spend a lot of time at work doesn’t mean you’re productive. You’re just a workaholic.

It’s not about spending more time on yourself, your business, or others. It’s MORE about keeping all things at equal weight. Spend a good amount of time with your family and loved ones. Hangout with your friends from time to time. Work when it’s time to work. The key here is to have everything in moderation.

Every time you start to feel running off the track of being a healthy solopreneur, pause and remember your mantra for the particular problem. About to get into a heated argument with someone? Just say, “I’ll let it be.” The more you keep on using your mantras, the more you’ll live your solopreneur life according to its meaning.
