A lot of businesses don’t need a huge amount of capital to start. Some would just even require your knowledge, skills, and talents. Even those who don’t have the skills can learn how to run the business and expand it along the way. Most wouldn’t even cost more than 100 dollars. Here are some of them.

1. Direct sales representative

For around $100, companies like Avon, Pampered Chef, and Mary Kay will provide you with everything you need to be their sales representative. Then, all you need to do is advertise their products through online selling or any other marketing tactics.

2. Consulting

Are you good at something? Share your expertise by creating a website. You can also start your consulting services through social media. Your only investment would be for marketing your services such as creating your business flyers and calling cards.

3. Auto parts and repair

It can be quite a hassle for car owners to have their automobiles towed to the shop. So why not offer the convenience of going to their place and fix their car with new parts sold by you? That is if you have mechanical skills.

4. Used books

The best thing about the used book business is that you get to learn by reading the books before reselling. Not only will you learn valuable ideas about things but you’ll also make a better review that is critical to making sales.

5. After-school tutor

If your specialty isn’t about adult careers, then maybe you have an aptitude for early academics and teaching. First, start by handling two students and do your best to drive impressive results. When you’re done, ask your clients to refer you to others.

6. Holiday decorator

This business isn’t that stressful, you only get to work for a few days in a year like days before the 4th of July, Thanksgiving, Halloween, and Christmas. Just prepare yourself in case your clients really like your artistry, because they’ll be lining up for your services.

7. Handywoman/man

In a way, being in the handy business is similar to being a holiday decorator. Your market are mostly households who lack the skill and time to do home repairs themselves. Some tools are expensive for repairs but if you already have some, use them first and use your earnings to buy more tools and upgrades.

8. Personal concierge

A personal concierge is someone who is like a personal assistant. However, a personal concierge isn’t limited to working for one person, several executives, or a company. He/she is an independent contractor can have multiple clients.

9. House painting

You can pretty much learn how to be a house painter by reading articles online and watching YouTube videos. With just less than $30 for a can, you can be an indoor painter with very affordable paint brushes and rollers. Just make sure to do the proper mixing of paint and don’t let any spill on the floor of your client’s home.

10. Window cleaning

Tools for window cleaning are pretty affordable. You can start by using a window squeegee with a sponge, 2 spray bottles, vinegar, alcohol, water, and a step ladder. If you want, you can also include a fabric conditioner as a solution to prevent dust from sticking to your clients’ windows.

11. Daiko driver service

A term coined by the Japanese. The Daiko driver service or simply known as “dial-a-driver” is a business where you get called by a drunk to drive their car to their home.

It’s a good idea if you have a best friend looking for business concepts as well. You can either use your car or your best friend’s car to drive to your client and either one of you drives the drunk client home. The other will tail the one driving to the client’s place.

There are more business ideas out there that you can start for just $100 or less. Others may haven’t been discovered yet. What’s important is, keep your eyes open and look for everyday problems and find a way to capitalize on it.
