Being healthy also increases your motivation at work, since you’re mentally capable of facing adversities head-on, and have more energy to accomplish tasks on time.

1. Get Quality Sleep and Rest

The reality is that most entrepreneurs are often sleep-deprived, which predisposes them to several health issues, including a loss of focus and attention. According to sleep experts, healthy adults need to sleep 7 to 9 hours each night. This allows our bodies enough time to regenerate and heal.  

Getting adequate and quality sleep helps you perform better at work, make better decisions, and motivate you to achieve your goals.

2. Eat a Healthy Diet

Running a business takes so much of your time that you may resort to eating fast foods, which are convenient but unhealthy.

Proper hydration is essential in keeping your health and productivity intact. Dehydration can lead to health complications, such as headaches, heart and kidney problems, and limitations in physical performance. According to the Institute of Medicine (IOM), an average adult should have a daily fluid intake of 9 -13 cups.

While coffee, alcohol, and sugar-sweetened beverages count as fluid and can help with hydration, they all have side effects. This is why water is always the best choice for hydration.
